I then had my dad who is a licensed contractor design and create custom plans for my vision and based off my research. Our custom coop design and supply list are designed to be a guide to those looking to build a large and custom luxury coop themselves. With hand-drawn plans by a licensed contractor, we took this back to the basic levels of design to offer you the ability to create a coop that is perfect for you and your backyard chickens.

Drawings

A licensed contractor put the details together in hand-drawn plans that are unique and specific to the coop and how the interior parts of the design work for ultimate functionality.

Supply List

All the materials you need to create this design from scratch yourself is included in the plans. So you know exactly what you need when you head to the store to get everything.

Floor Plan

The inside of a coop is even more important than the outside. So we thought about that too. With interior accessible nesting boxes to keep you out of the weather and space for food and bedding storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many chickens does this accomodate?

This design is for a large coop that can accommodate 4 hens per nesting box or 12-16 hens in the coop itself.

What is the finished coop size?

The space can be slightly altered depending on what you want but roughly the space the hens live is a 7'x8' space. The overall building is a 8x12 building. We used space in the building for storage of feed, bedding, and other supplies for the hens, which is nice in the depths of winter.

Can I adapt this design at all?

Yes! This design is easy to change depending on your needs. You could easily add more nesting boxes if you wanted to or have a smaller run even if you would like to. It really depending on your needs and the needs of the flock you have.
